Medical Office Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Office Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time 12-month maternity leave coverage position. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support in a medical office setting, ensuring efficient office operations and excellent patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients in a courteous and professional manner
  • Handle patient registration and check-in procedures
  • Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff
  • Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits
  • Maintain electronic medical records accurately, ensuring privacy compliance
  • Perform general administrative tasks
  • Ensure strict confidentiality and privacy compliance

Qualifications:

  • Medical administrative diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency Mac OS and PS Suite EMR considered an asset
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures an asset
  • Experience with phone systems and office administrative tasks
  • Must be able to multitask effectively and accurately
  • Critical time management and organization skills necessary

Hours per week, start date and and compensation can all be negotiated.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay:   $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours:   23.25 – 38.75 per week (to be discussed)

Schedule:   Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2024-09-03 (to be discussed)
